Hello Legendlorriors,
Last year, all printing operations ended up paused due to pandemic- and infrastructure-related issues. Onyx Path had submitted files to their printer nearly a year ago, only to be told that everything would be delayed until early 2022.
The good news, now, is that we're *in* early 2022 ... and things are starting to print again!
Which means it's time to lock our traytables into their upright position, fasten seatbelts, and get ready to bring our main reward in for a landing.
That's Kickstarter Concierge speak for beginning the lockdown process. Since Onyx Path has SIX projects currently printing and preparing for delivery, there are going to be a few of these locking down at the same time. I don't know exactly when each will be shipping out, but want to get everything ready so we can act as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

Confirm Rewards / Confirm Orders - January 25, 2022
I'll begin locking down all orders on JANUARY 25, 2022. This means that, once they're locked down, you won't be able to shift your pledge tier or add any additional Add On options. These will firm up the counts for our distribution partners so they can figure out deliveries.
On January 25, I will send out a 48 HOUR NOTICE with a link for you to double check your pledge and items to ensure they're set up the way you want.
Process Outstanding Payments - February 8, 2022
For any additions you made in BackerKit, pre-orders, or any payments that did not process at the end of the Kickstarter campaign, please ensure your payment information is up to date, valid, and ready to be processed by FEBRUARY 8, 2022. On that date, I will instruct BackerKit to lock down and process all outstanding payments.
Confirm Delivery Information - February 15, 2022
Please ensure your shipping information is up-to-date with your expected address for March/April/May 2022. Please ensure that this information is entered and correct by February15. After this point, I will take the shipping information we have for you in BackerKit and provide that to our fulfillment partners, so they can schedule the picking and packing of orders, with plans to begin shipping hopefully not long thereafter.
On February 15, I will send out a 48 HOUR NOTICE with the delivery information we have in the system and a link in case you need to update or modify. After those 48 hours, the delivery information will be considered confirmed and locked in our system.
BRAZILIAN BACKERS
To all our backers in Brazil, please include your CPF number alongside your name in your shipping information. As you know, it's expensive to ship to Brazil from the US, and any missing information will cause the shipment to be rejected or possibly destroyed at the border, so let's avoid any possible issues in this shipping process.
I'll double-check these as best I can, but if you're ahead of me, that helps out immensely.
IF YOUR ADDRESS IS CHANGING IN THE SPRING
If your shipping location will be changing during the March/April/May timeframe, please contact me at Onyx.Kickstarter [at] gmail.com. I will unlock your order and we'll hold off processing it until you're at your new location. If you have your new address and the effective date, let me know that too and I'll set it up. If you haven't confirmed your location yet, let me know that as well and I'll hold off the shipment until you're all sorted.
Quick note on schedules and timelines
I don't have to say too much here, do I? I'm moving forward with a lot of assumptions that things will work out as planned, but we've learned that unexpected complications are lurking around every corner. I'll keep in touch with Onyx Path as best possible and we can adjust these dates as/if needed. Still, I'm hopeful that our patience and perseverance will be rewarded and we'll have our books in hand at some point in the near future.
For now, just review your BakerKit order list and ensure that it's got everything you want. I'll send out the 48 Hour Notices as mentioned. Also, I'm here to help. If there are any issues, get in touch and I'll sort everything as best I can.
There's a lot going on - SIX PROJECTS - all happening around the same time, so there will be lots of moving parts and potential issues. I don't know exactly how long it'll take to ship things out or what will go first. But I'll work with our fulfillment partners to get everything out as quickly as manageable. The delivery side of this may be an ongoing project, but we'll get there! Don't worry - we'll have lots of opportunities to make sure we're set up for success as long as the external factors all cooperate.

It goes without saying, if you are only receiving digital items (PDFs), we won't need to confirm a shipping address. In fact, the survey shouldn't ask you for one.
Similarly, if you haven't purchased any Add Ons in BackerKit or pre-ordered any items, or need to correct payment information that didn't work in Kickstarter, you won't have any amount owing and won't need to include any payment information.

Ah, the final days of 2021. Can't say I'm sad to see this year ending, though there were some positive moments within the ongoing struggle. ONYX PATH CROWDFUNDING IN 2021
Another challenging year. While there were some moments of taking two steps forward and one step back, at least there was some forward momentum. Onyx Path spent the previous year restructuring and adapting their processes to better function during the pandemic, but still external issues presented (and continue to present) challenges. Paper shortages, manufacturing difficulties, shipping and storage problems. The new normal.
Despite all of that, Onyx Path was able to get some products out, at least digitally, during the year.
While the massive paper shortage and manufacturing issues kept many of these from seeing print in 2021, they're all currently scheduled to attain physical form in early 2022. Here's hoping the process keeps moving forward and we can finally ship these rewards. Even with that caveat, that's still a pretty impressive list of stuff that's out and available to play.
Another solid year and another batch of fun and interesting projects added to Onyx Path's future release list. In supporting these during the crowdfunding phase, we've also managed to add these extra projects to the schedule:

So the good news is that the production process is underway for our book. Though we're still in the earliest manufacturing stages - there are several proofing and test runs to be done - and some pandemic-related challenges to be overcome, I'm hopeful we'll be able to lockdown rewards and ship this out in the spring as panned. We'll know more as we get into 2022.

I know it's only been 10 days since our last update, but I've got a reward to distribute and news to share.
As you've no doubt heard about in the news, or read about on Kickstarter (either via their giant banner that ran the past few months or updates from just about every project), or even learned about from Onyx Path in one of Rich's Monday Meeting Notes blogs from the summer, there's currently a huge issue with shipping and manufacturing around the world. This has impacted the printing of books, with a big paper shortage and a massive backlog of projects slowing down the entire process.
Luckily, Onyx Path was able to lock down a spot in the printing queue last spring for the early part of 2022, so - as far as we know at this point - everything is still on track for all Legendlore hardcover book rewards to ship out for the original projected date of May 2022.
We were hoping to have it out earlier, months before the projected date, but the paper, shipping, printing crisis has consumed the bulk of the contingency time that was built into that projected date.
One of the things Rich and the Onyx Path team have also talked about in their discussion of manufacturing and shipping challenges, though, was the push to get the Print-on-Demand version available as soon as possible, and then get discounted purchase codes out to backers who had that as part of their rewards.
And that brings us to today...
So, as noted in that long preamble, the hardcover rewards from this campaign are suffering from the worldwide printing delay, which means we won't be shipping those until Spring 2022. That said, Onyx Path will be updating the backer PDF at DriveThruRPG to the final version soon, and will be making the Print-on-Demand versions available via DriveThruRPG.com. As backers from the Kickstarter campaign, many of your rewards (First Time Traveler and up) included a discounted Print-on-Demand link, allowing you to purchase a PoD version at a reduced price. I'll be sending those redemption links out through BackerKit shortly.
Again, just to ensure it's understood - THIS IS NOT YOUR KICKSTARTER HARDCOVER REWARD! This is not a substitution, this is a discount link for the PoD version that will eventually be released for purchase on DriveThruRPG.com (but YOU can order it early if the discounted PoD option was included in your rewards!) The kickstarter hardcovers are currently scheduled for spring 2022, as projected on our original campaign page, and will be shipped out to you as soon as they are available.

DIFFERENCES IN PoD FORMATS
So, for those backers who pledged at the FirstTime Traveler reward tier, or those backers who will later be receiving the hardcover book but might be looking for a second copy for the table, there are two different versions of Print-On-Demand options available.
Standard Color uses a thick 70# white paper which has better page opacity. (that's "70 pound" for reference, but does not mean each page weighs 70 lbs!). Standard Heavyweight Color uses inkjet technology. (These are not the same inkjet printers you have at home - these are often as big or bigger than a car!) This option offers lower cost but the colors won't be as sharp or bright as a Premium Color book.
Premium Color uses the same 70# paper, but uses "Digital Color Print Engine Technology," which sounds super fancy, but I'll admit to not knowing the exact difference. This option offers superior color quality but is more expensive to produce, and has gotten even more expensive over the past year.
(Remember to login to DriveThruRPG prior to clicking or pasting the discount link in your BackerKit digital rewards locker, if you that was part of your rewards list! That link is your coupon and must be usedfor your PoD order.)
That's one more reward to move from our Pending list to our Delivered list! Again, you will receive an e-mail from BackerKit with alink for this reward over the next 24hours if it is on your expected list of rewards.

What is Trinity Continuum: Anima?
A brand-new Trinity Continuum game. Unlike TC: Æon, TC: Aberrant, and TC: Adventure!, this isn’t the second edition of a previously made game. This is a completely new setting in the year 2084, sitting between TC: Æon and TC: Aberrant.
A new take on cyberpunk. Unlike a hundred gritty, worn-down cyberpunk dystopias, the city of Cascade is shiny and new. Characters will still fight a fascist government and unethical corporations, but they do so in a gleaming city full of potential and hope.
A video game in an RPG. This isn’t just a tabletop adaptation of a popular video game; this is a new system that allows the characters of TC: Anima to themselves play in a fully immersive MMO. The rules are designed to make the experience feel like playing in a video game.
A modern take on cyberware. No loss of “humanity” or “essence” happens in TC: Anima. Nearly every character has cyberware, either as a brain implant or as assistive devices after a devastating war. Using cyberware doesn’t make you less of a person, but it does open new dramatic possibilities.
A mystery you can dig into right away. Streamers of the popular video game Terra Surge are disappearing. Why? That question is something that can draw the player characters in immediately, or Storyguides can focus on other parts of the setting to create their own conflicts and intrigues.

Hello Legendlorriors,
It's been about six weeks since our last monthly update, because September's went out early when we received our Backer PDFs for the Legendlore book! Now, as we sneak into Halloween and crossover to our own fantasy realms this weekend, it's time to catch up and see where we are for this project.
Onyx Path has received your feedback and errata from the backer PDF stage and are now working on updating the Legendlore book to it's final form. They're testing out the Print-on-Demand version to ensure there are no issues and prepping the print files for the eventual print run. Slowly but surely our book is getting fine-tuned for final release.
